Emotional Packaging

In this project I was told to create packaging for a product to do with a specific emotion. I was given the emotion, Passion and so created a humourous packaging for a shirt with a lipstick stain on the collar. I created a logo and information to be put on the box, also went a bit further and actually made the product. I created my final packaging by printing the layout of the box and backing it onto card for the extra support and then created the box. The box had a transparent lid, with the logo printed on it and a lip stain mark, for you to see the product inside.

Penguin Book Cover Project

For this project I was given a task to produce 4 Penguin classic book covers. I chose to create Robert Louis Stevenson's, Treasure Island. I was told i had to use different media to create each cover. For the first image I used a white and blue acrylic and scraped it across a black page with a fork to create a wave effect. The second image I drew a skull and swords. I positioned the image on a slant and overlayed it on photoshop with a red image I created. The third image I created by using the clone stamp tool on photoshop with an image of a single island. I created a the letters 'T' and 'I' for the capitals of treasure island. For the final image i created an old style layout of the
Penguin classic books and created a simple image of a wave.

Swiss Style Layout Project

For this project I was given a brief to research different designers accosiated with the swiss style movement and create a series of design sheets influenced by there specific design style.

Idioms Typography Project

The brief for this project was to create a series of design sheets each to do with a different idiom. I had to change the typography and form an image of what the idiom really means. I changed the Cap Height, X height, counters, serifs, etc. to form the meaning of the word through the type.

Creative Review Project

The brief for this project was to create a magazine cover for the famous grpahic design magazine, creative review. We had to choose a graphic design company and then make the magazine cover linking with the specific design company. I chose the company 'non format' and as they have alot of work and clients with the music industry, I decided to create a cover like a music vinyl. I printed the cover on black paper and when the final image is displayed on the paper the rings on the page are glossy and shine a little just like a vinyl.

My teacher then sent my work along with my other class mates work to the Creative Review company. The company enjoyed the work so much they put our work on the website blog they have. They then chose 7 of their favourite pieces in which mine was one of them. Here is the link to the creative review blog, http://www.creativereview.co.uk/cr-blog/2009/december/student-cr-covers

Red Riding Hood Poster

This was a live brief I was given to create a poster for the preforming art's students whom were preforming the play, red riding hood. The Client asked for a bold and graphic look which I believe I met to the standards of.

Life Drawing

Advertising

In this project my brief was create a series of advertising posters for the times newspaper. The adverts that I produced had a clever, witty feel to them adding humour which would appeal to my target audience.
